Becoming a writer after a midlife reassessment at forty, Atlanta native Haywood Smith published six critically acclaimed historical romance novels about “strong women, hunky men, great love scenes between husband and wife, and accurate history” set in England and Scotland. Her historicals received numerous national awards and nominations, including a Best First Book Rita nomination from Romance Writers of America, a prestigious Maggie Award, and a Romantic Times Lifetime Achievement Award.

After a difficult divorce, Haywood switched to writing funny, uplifting women’s fiction about serious issues with “women who’ve lived long enough to learn a thing or two.”
“But I have a strong following among younger women,” Haywood says, “because I write about how we women can help each other, instead of tearing each other down.”
Her best-selling women’s fiction titles include QUEEN BEE OF MIMOSA BRANCH, THE RED HAT CLUB, THE RED HAT CLUB RIDES AGAIN and WEDDING BELLES, LADIES OF THE LAKE, WAKING UP IN DIXIE, WIFE-IN-LAW, OUT OF WARRANTY, and QUEEN BEE GOES HOME AGAIN.  She also published a fun handbook titled THE 12 SACRED TRADITIONS OF MAGNIFICENT MOTHERS-IN-LAW and contributed to an anthology of true stories in ATLANTA’S REAL WOMEN.

Haywood is currently revising and re-releasing her historical novels in e-format for young adult and general readership, and working on two nonfiction books.

Susan Carlisle’s love affair with books began when she made a bad grade in math in the sixth grade. Not allowed to watch TV until she brought the grade up, Susan filled her time with books. Some recent titles are The Doctor’s Redemption, His Best Friend’s Baby and her new release, One Night Before Christmas.

Susan lives near Atlanta, Georgia, with her husband of over thirty years. Susan loves castles, traveling, sewing, afternoon tea, hats, James Bond and reads voraciously.

Sports physician Dr. Melanie Hyde is used to being treated as one of the guys—but just sometimes it would be nice to be treated like a woman…

From debut author Sally Kilpatrick comes a hopeful tale of love and redemption in a quiet Southern town where a lost soul finds her way with the help of an unlikely circle of friends…

Life has dealt Beulah Land a tough hand to play, least of all being named after a hymn. A teenage pregnancy estranged her from her family, and a tragedy caused her to lose what little faith remained. The wayward daughter of a Baptist deacon, she spends her nights playing the piano at The Fountain, a honky-tonk located just across the road from County Line Methodist. But when she learns that a dear friend’s dying wish is for her to take over as the church’s piano player, she realizes it may be time to face the music…

Beulah butts heads with Luke Daniels, the new pastor at County Line, who is determined to cling to tradition even though he needs to attract more congregants to the aging church. But the choir also isn’t enthusiastic about Beulah’s contemporary take on the old songs and refuse to perform. Undaunted, Beulah assembles a ragtag group of patrons from The Fountain to form the Happy Hour Choir. And as the unexpected gig helps her let go of her painful past—and accept the love she didn’t think she deserved—she just may be able to prove to Luke that she can toe the line between sinner and saint…

An international bestseller and the recipient of over a dozen major awards, including the Maggie Award of Excellence, the Daphne du Maurier, National Readers Choice and the Prism Award, Jana Oliver’s vivid imagination is never at rest.

In her young adult Demon Trappers series, Riley Blackthorne, Atlanta’s first female trapper, takes on a host of Hellspawn and their diabolical masters. This award-winning series has spread across the globe, with editions in ten countries, including Russia, Taiwan, Germany, France and the United Kingdom. The latest in the series, MIND GAMES, was published in October 2015.

When not wandering around the Internet, blogging about social media, or researching urban myths, Jana can be found in Atlanta with her very patient husband, and a growing collection of single malt Scotch.

Riley Blackthorne’s life as a Demon Trapper is about to hit the wall. Knowing she will always be a target for those who want to exploit her “connections” with Hell, she’s learning defensive magic. It seems the only way to keep herself and her fiancĂ©, Denver Beck, safe. But not everyone in Atlanta, or at the Vatican, is pleased by this news. In fact, some want to ban the use of all magic, and Riley would make the perfect scapegoat.

Even as Guild politics roil the city, throwing the trappers into chaos, a new demonic enemy stalks her. To protect herself and the man she loves, Riley will be forced to choose: continue in her legendary father’s footsteps, or carve her own path. A path that may well lead to her losing everything she so desperately seeks to protect.

Debut Author Table
Featuring Brandy Heineman

BRANDY HEINEMAN is a Christ-follower. She’s also a book hoarder, a cat herder, a first-generation Southerner, and a self-appointed family historian. She likes to cook when it’s convenient, and to order pizza when it’s not. An alumna of Wesleyan College, she has written for various websites and magazines. Brandy resides in metro Atlanta with her Captain of Street Cred and super-hero hubby, Michael. Her debut novel, Whispers in the Branches, was released in 2015 by Elk Lake Publishing.

Tending a void in her heart that demands to be filled, Abby Wells uproots her life in Ohio to move into the ancestral home in Georgia. Now that her mom is gone, it's her best chance to connect with the last of her family, and she can't deny the pull of the supposedly haunted house. The seductive comfort of believing that ghosts could be real drives her search, but Aunt Ruby's plans for Abby don't include revealing secrets kept for seventy years. Oh, there's dirty laundry she'd like to air—just not her own. Indulging in the attentions of the house's handsome caretaker helps numb her pain, but Abby's ex-boyfriend won't let go of the past. He hounds her about his newfound religion in hopes of reconciling, but why reach for him or the God who couldn't or wouldn't spare her mom? In the stillness of the old house, the spirit world feels so close she can almost touch it. But she doesn't know yet that there's more than one way to be haunted.
